Coach Magan joined the Greenwood High School baseball staff starting in the 2021/2022 season. Magan started his coaching career at Henderson County High School as an assistant coach in 2014. In 2015 he moved to Trigg County and served as an assistant baseball and basketball coach for two years before being named the head baseball coach. After three years of head coaching at Trigg County High School, Magan accepted a position as a social studies teacher and assistant baseball coach at Greenwood. In addition to teaching and coaching, Coach Magan also sponsors Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Kentucky Youth Assembly, and the German-American Partnership Program. He is also an avid outdoorsman, spending a majority of his free time hunting and fishing.
Coach Magan graduated from Hancock County High School in 2009, where he played baseball and football. In 2014, he graduated from Western Kentucky University with a double major in History and Social Studies with an emphasis in secondary education. He also holds a Masters of Education from the University of the Cumberlands with a Teacher Leadership endorsement. Currently, Magan is pursuing his second Masters in Education Specialist for principalship and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at the University of the Cumberlands.
